Right from the beginning of my painting journey, I have taken progress photos of the various stages of every piece of artwork to capture the process and evolution of my subject along its way to completion. I like to think of this mini photo documentation diary as ‘The Evolution of a Painting’.
It’s not only fun to look through the progress photos, but it also serves as a personal tool for me to see the differences that adjusting tonal values make from one stage to the next. Those differences show a range from subtle to striking changes in my subject to eventually reveal the finished piece!
